The Dystonia Society Third/voluntary Sector

The Royal College of Opthalmologists Professional body

The College champions excellence in the practice of ophthalmology for the benefit of patients and the public. It sets the examinations & the curriculum for medical graduates who wish to be eye surgeons and provides elements of surgical skills training. It sets the standards for professional practice, runs the continuing professional development (CPD) programme and has a role in promoting ground-breaking research.

Their trainers and coaches deliver a range of programmes helping people whether they are unemployed, in education or already in the workplace. They support not only people who are neurodiverse, but also individuals with other disabilities as well as those affected by mental health & confidence issues.

Thrive is the leading charity in the UK using gardening to change the lives of disabled people. Although mainly active in the South East of England, it does provide advice and literature.

Torch Trust Third/voluntary Sector

Torch Trust is a Christian organisation with a worldwide vision for people with sight loss. They provide Christian resources and activities for blind and partially sighted people worldwide. Services are offered to all who experience sight loss, of all faiths or none, and including those with sight loss who have other disabilities.
