Disability Wales is a national charity representing the learning disability sector in Wales. We work with people with a learning disability and their families,
Welsh government, local authorities, disabled people’s organisations and the
voluntary sector so we can create a better Wales for all people with a learning disability.
A charity based in South Wales supporting
disabled people in all areas of their lives through community based projects. They also work with other organisations to deliver collaborative projects that deliver real change.

Level Playing Field, a registered charity in England and Wales, acts as a campaigning and advisory organisation to its membership across all sports. We work together with our partners to share good practice, raise awareness and promote improved access to sports stadiums for
disabled fans and disabled people who aspire to be match-going fans, non-match day visitors and/or employees/volunteers at clubs/stadiums. Our wide-ranging membership includes professional
clubs, equality and disability NGOs
An American organisation (based in New York) which supports
visually impaired people. Although much information is US-specific, some publications have a wider interest.
Listening Books is a national UK charity that provides an online and postal audiobook lending service, for anyone with a
disability, illness, learning or
mental health difficulty, which affects their ability to read the printed word, or to hold books in the usual way. We currently support over 100,000 members across the UK.
Throughout the years three schemes have run in parallel: The Talking Books (from 1979), the Carmarthen Talking Newspaper (1976) and
Radio Glangwili (1972). Weekly editions of the newspaper are broadcast on Radio Glangwili together with monthly supplements in both languages.
Load2Learn
Third/voluntary Sector
Load2Learn provides accessible textbooks and images to support dyslexic, partially sighted or blind learners who have difficulty reading standard print. The service is free to educators in the UK, while there is a small
charge for schools based overseas.
Look's mission is to improve the lives of families with
visually impaired children and
young people by providing support, information and activities with a view to helping them gain the best
outcomes in life and reach their full potential.
