Online session for parents - 'Beyond the Sidelines: Building Sports Confidence and Inclusion'
LOOK and British Blind Sport are hosting a free online session (via Zoom) for parents on Wednesday 14th October titled 'Beyond the Sidelines: Building Sports Confidence and Inclusion'.
The session is intended to equip parents and carers of visually impaired children with the skills, knowledge and confidence to include their child in games, sport and physical activity, and will cover:
- Practical skills for home — easy ways to adapt games and activity for your child.
- Confidence to advocate — tools to speak up for your child's right to take part fully in PE at school and in community sport.
- Real, lived experience — first-hand insight from a Paralympic gold medallist and an England blind football captain.
- Ongoing support — links to national sports networks and follow-up support after the session.
