Paid Opportunity: Join NHS Wales’ Mental Health Research Lived Experience Panel
Mental health services in Wales are changing to become ‘open access’, meaning that people will be able to seek support on the day they need it, at the level they need. Research is to be carried out to evaluate how the system works, and members of the public are needed to help make sure the research evaluation is sound.
The research team is looking for individuals aged 14-20 for a children and young people’s group, or 18+ for an adults group. Each group will meet four times a year, mainly online to shape the research. It is looking for individuals who have a mental health condition (or care for someone who does) and have either used NHS services or tried to access NHS services. They will be paid for the meeting time and preparation. This is not specifically about mental health for people with vision impairment, but it is hoped that someone with VI could be represented in the group to ensure the evaluation takes into account people who are blind or partially sighted.
