Sight Cymru 2026 Annual Conference and AGM - Full programme published
Sight Cymru will hold their 2026 Annual Conference and AGM on 15th September 2026 at Whitehead Social Club, Bassaleg, Newport NP10 8LA. The theme for this year's event is 'Advancement of Research and Technology for the Visually Impaired'.
People with sight loss who attend will have the chance to explore, first-hand, a variety of stalls showcasing the latest information, technology gadgets, and resources for sight loss. Admission is free, and a light lunch will be provided. The full programme of the day is:
- 10.00 – 10.30: Registration
- 10.30 – 10.45: Welcome Speech: CEO of Sight Cymru
- 10.45 – 11.00: UCAN Presentation – Technology and AI for people with sight loss
- 11.00 – 11.30: Gold Sponsor’s Workshop: MakeSense Technology
- 11:30 – 12:15: AGM
- 12:15 – 12.30: High Sheriff of Gwent – Shereen Williams
- 12.30 – 13.00: Sponsor’s Workshop: Dolphin Computer Access

- 14.00 – 14.15: Presentation: Centre for Vision Services Research
