Support for older people from Care and Repair Cymru

As the colder months arrive, Care and Repair Cymru is reminding people aged 60 and over that their 'Older not Colder' service supports older people to keep their homes warm and energy bills down. The organisation also provides 'Managing Better', a free home visiting service offering advice and practical help for people over the age of 50 who have hearing loss, sight loss, dementia, or have had a stroke.

The 'Older not Colder' service has Home Energy Officers working across Wales who visit and assess homes for free. You can find out more about eligibility, how the service can help, and request a visit here.

If you have sight loss, Care and Repair caseworkers can visit you and provide free advice and practical support to help you live as independently as possible. This includes benefits checks and advice on fall prevention and technology. Find out more here.
