RNIB Cymru is looking for blind and partially sighted people to participate in a Street Study alongside sighted guides.

Are you a blind or partially sighted person living in or near Cardiff? Do you have things to say about getting around our streets, whether positive or negative? Are you free on Thursday 12th September? If you answered yes to the above questions, then RNIB Cymru are looking for you.

They are running an event to understand the streets in Cardiff and are looking for visually impaired people to pair up with a sighted guide volunteer and walk around the city centre, answering questions along the way. The day will last from 10.30am until 3.30pm, starting and finishing at the RNIB Cymru office in Womanby Street, with walks scheduled in the morning and in the afternoon, and they will provide lunch in between. They are looking for a range of people, those who use mobility aids or have a guide dog or not, and you don’t need to be particularly fit as you can walk at your own pace, but the day will involve being on your feet. Comfortable shoes are a must!

If you fit the bill and are interested then please get in touch with either Kirsty James Kirsty.james@rnib.org.uk or Rachel Jones rachel.jones@rnib.org.uk. There are only 12 spaces available for this event, so it will be first come first served.
