'The Welsh Dragon' - Audio described show for children

The Welsh Dragon is a bold new play for children (ages 7 to 13), exploring Britain’s black ancestry. There will be touch tours and audio described performances at three venues in Wales this autumn.

The show features music, rap, and a historical twist, that challenges us to question the stories that have been handed down from generation to generation. Funny, fast and thought-provoking, this play weaves together the well-known myth of the Welsh Dragon on our beloved flag with historical hidden truths to explore identity, ethnicity, and the origins of human life on the British Isles. Dates for the audio described performances are :

  • 1pm and 7pm performances on Wednesday 9th October at Chapter in Cardiff
  • 2pm performance on Thursday 31 October at Theatr Brycheiniog in Brecon.
  • 2pm performance on Saturday 2 November at the Blackwood Miners Institute in Blackwood.
You can find out more information about the Welsh Dragon show on the Theatr Iolo website. This web page includes links for each of the venue box offices, and an audio flier.
