England footballer raises awareness of Stargardt's disease
A recent edition of 'Access All', the BBC podcast about disability issues, features an interview with former England footballer Michael Owen and his son James who has Stargardt's disease.
Father and son talk about how they have coped with James' sight loss, and partially sighted football. Stargardt disease is a genetic macula condition caused by a tiny alteration in a single gene. You can listen to the interview on BBC Sounds.
