Update on research into age-related macular degeneration
The Macular Society has reported the possibility that two drugs may be about to be approved for treatment of dry AMD, pegcetacoplan and Zimura.
People who attended a recent Macular Society virtual clinic were updated on the situation and told that the majority of people with late-stage dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) would welcome eye injections as a way of slowing down its progress. You can find out more here.
