The Office for National Statistics is offering the opportunity to join the organisation, in partnership with the RNIB’s Visibly Better Internships employment initiative for blind and partially sighted people.

Do you have excellent organisational skills and can make effective decisions? If so, this might be the role for you. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is the UK’s largest producer of official statistics, covering a range of key economic, social and demographic topics. These include measuring changes in the value of the UK economy, estimating the size, geographic distribution, and characteristics of the population, and providing indicators of price inflation, employment, earnings, crime, and migration. This role is an excellent entry point into the Civil Service.

  • Contract type: This is a three-month, part-time fixed term contract (14 hours per week for 12 weeks) working Tuesday and Wednesday. We are looking to recruit 8 individuals to bring in over a rolling year (2 candidates every three months). We will also hold a small reserve list. This role is funded specifically for candidates who experience sight loss and are not in paid work.
