Accessible reading for children
2026 is the UK's National Year of Reading, and the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) has written a blog with some useful information about the benefits of reading, with information about some of the key services available to help children with a vision impairment and their families access books in ways that work for them.
The list covers sources of books in a range of accessible formats including braille, large print, tactile and audio. You can read 'A World of Books – Accessible Reading' here.
