Members of Guide Dogs Cymru will be at the Welsh Spring Conferences of the Conservative and Labour parties to talk about their campaigns. You can ask your representative to visit the stand using a form on Guide Dogs website.
Guide Dogs make an effort to engage with all political parties, and attending conferences is an important part of this work. It's a great opportunity to meet with lots of politicians and party members in one place to talk about their campaigns. Your invitations have a huge impact on the number of politicians who visit the stand. In previous years, speaking with politicians at conferences has helped us secure significant success. For example, the Welsh Government committing to mandatory disability equality training for all drivers of taxi and minicabs in Wales to help stop guide dog owners being turned away when trying to use this form of transport. The more politicians who visit the stand, the better the chances of bringing about the changes needed to make our world more inclusive and accessible.
