Invitation to take part in research on Visual Imagination and Sight Impairment

Researchers at Cardiff University are conducting an online study to explore visual imagination in people with sight impairment. This research aims to better understand why some individuals experience visual hallucinations (Charles Bonnet Syndrome) after sight loss.

They are looking for participants who:

  • Are certified as Sight Impaired or Severely Sight Impaired in the UK
  • Are aged 18 or over
  • Have or have not experienced visual hallucinations
The study is entirely online, takes about 60 minutes, and includes questions about:
  • The nature of your sight impairment
  • Any experience of visual hallucinations following sight loss (if applicable)
  • Your ability to imagine visual scenes vividly
