'Cut it Back' campaign targets the hazard of overgrown vegetation
Overgrown branches and hedges alongside pavements pose a hazard to people with sight loss - and other pedestrians. The Thomas Pocklington Trust and Sight Loss Councils have launched a campaign 'Cut it Back' to raise awareness of this issue, and encourage local councils and home owners to keep streets clear.
Resources produced as part of the campaign include free guides for local authorities on overgrown foliage and vegetation, a template letter to send to your local authority and videos. For more information, click here.
