Understanding the the role of the ECLO
In a recent Macular Society webinar, Ruth Rhydderch, an eye clinic liaison officer (ECLO) at the University Hospital of Wales, explains her role, and how it helps patients understand their eye condition and the support that's available. The session is available to watch on the Macular Society website.
In addition to explaining the ECLO role, the 40 minute film includes advice to anyone who is newly diagnosed. Although it is produced by the Macular Society, an ECLO supports patients with any eye condition, not just macular disease. You can find out more and watch the video here.
