Network Rail to install tactile paving at all rail stations by 2025
Following campaigning by sight loss charities, Network Rail has confirmed that tactile paving will be installed on all railway platforms in Britain, and that it has funding to complete installation by 2025.
The importance of this issue for people with sight loss was highlighted when a partially sighted man died after falling from a platform without tactile paving in 2020. You can find out more about the announcement from the Department for Transport on the Guide Dogs website.
