Vision impaired rugby sessions for children at Risca RFC

Risca RFC is running free rugby sessions for children with a vision impairment aged between 8 and 16 years.

The group meets in an indoor facility at the club, and the sessions are on Mondays from 4.30 pm till 5.30 pm ( apart from school holidays). The sessions are all about having fun, making friends and playing lots of rugby games. Parents/guardians are encouraged to join in with the sessions and siblings can take part as well, making it fun for everyone.

All the equipment used is suitable for someone with a visual impairment: lots of brightly coloured rugby balls, foam rugby balls, rugby balls with bells in, light coloured bibs, brightly coloured cones, tag belts etc. The aim is for smiles on faces and feeling safe while enjoying the sessions!
