British Blind Sport survey

British Blind Sport(BBS) is launching a new research project and want to hear about the sport and physical activity preferences of blind and partially sighted people across the UK, particularly those who are currently mildly active/inactive and not engaged with the organisation.

The research study will be conducted in two parts:

  • An online survey, open to blind and partially sighted people of all ages from 1st September-3rd November 2026.
  • A series of in-person focus groups in a number of locations starting in Manchester and followed by Coventry, Warwickshire, Cardiff, Leeds, Birmingham, Liverpool and Preston.
The findings of this important research will directly shape BBS’s future work, including the sports clubs it supports through its VI Active Together programme, the delivery of multi-sport and sport specific Have a Go Days, and how the organisation priorities relationships with National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs).

You can complete the survey here. If you would like to join one of the in-person focus groups, please email Shamira Naidu-Young for more details on shamira@britishblindsport.org.uk.
