Sports Opportunity: Pickleball
Jon Hayes of Special Olympics Swansea is supporting Swansea University and Frenz Pickleball with the development of an audible pickleball for blind and partially sighted players. Dr Alex Swain at Swansea University is looking for 5–10 people to join small, in-person focus groups before the end of August. Participants will hear the proposed sound for the ball and share their feedback. No pickleball experience is needed, although an interest in sport would be helpful.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone based in South or West Wales. Sessions can be arranged at a convenient local venue during the day, evening or weekend. Please let Jon know by email at soaswales@gmail.com if you are interested, and he can connect you with Alex to arrange a session.
