Best of Brecon Awards – Personal Achievement Award for campaigner Nick Lancaster

Congratulations to guide dog owner and campaigner Nick Lanacaster, who has been honoured by Brecon Town Council. Nick, a staunch campaigner for Guide Dogs, won the Personal Achievement category in the 'Best of Brecon' Awards.

This category celebrates an inspiring individual whose determination and achievements deserve to be recognised. The Council said 'Nick has been recognised for his voluntary work with Royal National Institute for the Blind, Guide Dogs, Visual Impairment Breconshire, Scouts and the Brecknock Access Group. Your accomplishments have inspired so many people. Congratulations on this well-earned award—we're delighted to celebrate your success!'

Nick and guide dog Benje have featured on BBC Wales News, highlighting the perils of pavement parking in the town, and attended party conferences with Guide Dogs’ policy and campaigns team. He also works with young people as a scout leader, who love meeting “honorary scout” Benje.
