Welsh Government encouraging people from all backgrounds to apply for Public Appointments
In Wales, Public Appointments are usually made by a government minister, to the board of a public body, and cover everything from the arts to sport and consumer interests to more specialised areas, such as historic buildings and monuments. The Welsh Government is committed to making these appointments open, inclusive, and accessible to a wide range of talented individuals, including people with sight loss, ensuring that all voices have the chance to make a difference.
You can find out more about Public Appointments, the benefits of applying and read the experiences of people who have taken up one of these roles here.
Charlotte Davies from Welsh Government runs information sessions across Wales (online and in person), and is happy to link in with organisations or attend events who want to find out more. You can contact her at charlotte.davies042@gov.wales.
