Monthly walks for guide dog owners
Some part of Wales have a monthly meet-up for guide dog owners, where they can walk, talk, socialise and allow their dogs to have a run and play with each other. There is also the opportunity to set up a group in your area, if one doesn't already exist.
The Swansea walkers meet on the second Tuesday of each month in Swansea bus station at Greggs Bakery at 12pm. The next walk is on Tuesday 12th May. A new Bridgend group will meet on 16th May and thereafter on the third Saturday of each month at Bridgend Bus station at 12pm.
There is a Guide Dogs Cymru WhatsApp group where guide dog owners can find out about the different walks and put their name down. These are not run by the Guide Dogs organisation, they are organised and run by the dog owners themselves. Each person attending has to be able to find their way to the meeting point and to the venue the walk is taking place. To join the WhatsApp group and to confirm your attendance at each of the walks above or if you want to set up one in your area. please contact Anita Davies on 0792 928 0518 who will forward your information to the WhatsApp admin and to the walk organiser.
