Sense Adventures - Guided activity days and short break holidays for blind and vision impaired people
Sense Adventures offers guided day activities and short breaks in mixed groups to blind and sighted people in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Most activities take place on the Malvern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty between the counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. More recently they have added short breaks in The Gower, South Wales.
They are organising a short walking break in the Gower from Friday 12th to Monday 15th June which will include include carefully selected local accommodation, meals, guided walks, and visits to attractions and locations that will delight the senses. In general, holidays cost between £350 to £400 for 3 nights with guides available throughout your stay and transport from the local railway station. Thanks to generous grants from the National Lottery and other sources discounted places can be offered, so please ask. Help with travel costs and seasonal clothing can be provided as needed.
For more information, including a short video, visit the Sense Adventures website or contact the founder and director, Dee Jones on 07920 144614 or E-mail dee@senseadventures.co.uk. Dee would also be interested in hearing from volunteers who know how to sighted guide who would like to help out on the day.
