Results of Retina UK's Sight Loss Survey 2025 published

Retina UK has published the results of its Sight Loss Survey 2025, which give an insight into the continuing challenges faced by people living with inherited sight loss.

Previous surveys were conducted in 2019 and 2022, and over 600 people responded to this latest survey. Almost half of respondents (43%) say their sight loss has a severe or very severe impact on their quality of life – slightly higher than in 2022, although experiences of receiving diagnosis have shown some improvement since the pandemic, with more people being offered emotional and psychological support at diagnosis. The results will be used by Retina UK to shape their services and priorities.
