Deafblind Studies courses at Birmingham City University
Deafblind UK has worked with other sensory impairment organisations and Birmingham City University to develop the Certificate in Professional Studies (Deafblind Studies) and Diploma in Professional Studies (Deafblind Studies), which will help social workers and other social care professionals better support people who are deafblind.
The courses, which will be delivered online, aim to meet the requirements relating to the care and support of deafblind people under the Social Services and Well-Being (Wales) Act 2014 (Wales). Applications are now open for both for both courses which start in March 2025.
