Blind Barbie doll produced
The first blind Barbie doll has been released by toy-maker Mattel as part of its efforts to make its dolls more representative of society.
The doll, which was designed with input from vision impaired children and RNIB in the UK, has a white cane, dark glasses and tactile features. It is hoped that the doll will be fun for vision impaired children to play with, and also make them feel more accepted.
