User research request: Help improve the passenger safety of taxis and private hire vehicles in Wales

Welsh Government and the Centre for Digital Public Services (CDPS) are running a research project to understand how to improve passenger safety in taxis and private hire vehicles in Wales. They are looking for people to take part in interviews or face to face research to understand passengers' current experiences, and how to make improvements to make sure taxi experiences are safe and inclusive of everyone.

They want to hear directly from taxi and/or Private Hire Vehicle (PHV) passengers, particularly those who belong to seldom heard groups (such as individuals with learning difficulties, hearing impairments or visual impairments), and are also keen to ensure that they listen to the views of passengers from across Wales, so are eager to listen to respondents from North and Mid Wales.

The sessions will be run by one of CDPS’ user researchers during August 2023 and will take no longer than 1 hour of your time. Those who are selected and participate in the research will receive a £20 gift voucher for their time.

If you are interested, please fill out this survey to express your interest and CDPS will be in touch if you are a suitable match. There is a Welsh language version of the survey here.
