New app from Estée Lauder helps visually impaired users apply makeup
Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has launched an app to try to make the process of applying make-up easier for people with sight loss.
The app, called the Voice-enabled Makeup Assistant (VMA), uses voice instruction technologies to assist the user in makeup application, offering audio feedback and tips on whether lipstick, eyeshadow or foundation is evenly applied. It is free to download and use, and will detect any makeup, not just ELC brands.
The first iteration of the app is available in the UK via the Apple App Store and on the ELC website. For more information, click here.
