UK Government publishes National Disability Strategy
The UK Government has published the National Disability Strategy, which sets out the actions the government will take to improve the everyday lives of all disabled people.
Some topics covered by the strategy are UK-wide, while others are devolved, and the document includes references to work being done by devolved governments where appropriate. You can read the full strategy here.
Reactions from the disability sector to the strategy have been cautious, with some concerns raised about unclear deadlines and uncertainty over funding. You can read the response of RNIB here and Sense here.
