Results of research into CBS and Covid 19 published in BMJ
A report produced by researchers at Moorfields, and published on the BMJ Open Ophthalmology website, has examined how the Covid 19 pandemic has impacted people with Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS), the visual hallucinations experienced by some people with sight loss.
The report found that around half of respondents in their survey experienced exacerbation of visual hallucinations during the COVID-19 pandemic, triggered by loneliness, reduced exercise & depressing news media. It also suggests strategies that can be used to increase quality of life. You can read the full report here.
