From the perspective of blind and partially sighted people, accessible design means detectable kerbs and cycle lanes, inclusive pedestrian crossings and dedicated footways free from obstructions.
RNIB Cymru and Guide Dogs Cymru are calling for the Welsh Government to introduce a Coronavirus Courtesy Code which would promote public awareness of disabilities and encourage all pedestrians, road and public transport users to work together to ensure everyone can keep safe as lockdown measures begin to ease and we move into the next phase of recovery.
