'Is Wales Fairer?' - Report from EHRC Wales
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) Wales has produced a report which reviews how Wales is performing on equality and human rights in all areas of life, including education, work, living standards, health, justice and security, and participation in society.
Although some progress has been identified since the previous report in 2015, EHRC Wales found that serious challenges still exist. The findings regarding disabled people are concerning: 'Disabled people are being denied their right to independent living and in many cases are not experiencing the progress seen for other groups, with gaps in educational attainment and employment widening rather than narrowing'.
