RNIB UK-wide Telephone Courses for people with sight loss and their families
RNIB runs telephone courses for a people with sight loss across the UK, covering a variety of topics. The following courses are currently scheduled:
- Focus on Cost of Living: An opportunity to learn more about the help and support services available in response to the current cost of living situation. Topics to be covered include benefits, sources of support to pay utility and energy bills, sources of financial support, information and advice and ways to maintain good mental health. One ninety-minute session on 12th November at 2 pm, book here.
- Focus on Technology: The course aims to improve your knowledge on accessible technologies and to give you the confidence to start using technology on a day-to-day basis or alternatively to build on any existing knowledge you already have. Two ninety-minute sessions on 19th and 26th November at 10.30 am. Book here.
- Focus on Confident Living Outdoors: An opportunity to discuss the sight loss challenges that exist when outdoors and identify skills, equipment and aids which may be helpful when overcoming them. Three 90-minute sessions on 26th November, 3rd and 10th December at 11 am. Book here. There will be another presentation of this course on 1st, 8th and 15th December at 2 pm.
