The Thomas Pocklington Trust 'Make Banking Accessible' campaigning
The Thomas Pocklington Trust is campaigning for equal access to financial services for blind and partially sighted people amid concerns that the digital revolution in banking is denying thousands of people with sight loss the ability to manage their money independently and securely.
They are asking people who share these concerns to contact their Member of Parliament to demand:
- Inclusive design from the start—apps and websites must allow blind and partially sighted people (BPS) people to register and bank independently
- Accessible services like user-friendly phonelines must be retained
- Higher standards, backed by the Financial Conduct Authority
