RNIB launches 10 year strategy

RNIB has published its strategy for the next ten years, with interim targets to be reached by April 2027. There are three main focus areas:

  • Eye health and eye care
  • Skills and tools for life
  • Getting around
It is hoped that work on these three main areas will have a positive impact on other areas such as employment and financial inclusion, education and habilitation and societal change. You can read more and the full document on RNIB's website..

The new strategy was the subject of a recent edition of BBC Radio 4's 'In Touch' programme, where interviewer Peter White raised concerns about job losses at the charity. You can also find out more in an article in Optometry Today.
