Parliamentary group publishes results of an enquiry into the employment of vision impaired people
The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Eye Health and Visual Impairment has published the results of its inquiry into the employment of vision impaired people. 'Changing Attitudes, Changing Lives: An Inquiry into Employer Attitudes and the Employment of Blind and Partially Sighted People' highlights 'the devastating impact negative employer attitudes are having on the levels of employment amongst blind and partially sighted people'.
The report sets out 22 recommendations for action by the UK government and employers, covering barriers to employment, employer attitudes and policy and frameworks.
