Disability Wales launch 'A Social Model of Disability Toolkit'
Disability Wales has produced a new guide: 'A Social Model of Disability Toolkit', which is intended to be essential reading for anyone who wants to learn more about the social model, inclusive language and tackling disabling barriers in society.
The social model identifies that it is environmental, organisational, and attitudinal barriers that disable people and prevent their full participation in society, not their medical conditions or impairments. The guide explains how it can be used in our daily lives, and also how organisations can implement it.
