New guide from British Blind Sport - Physical Activity and Vision Rehabilitation
British Blind Sport (BBS) has produced a new guide for rehabilitation workers supporting blind and partially sighted adults through physical activity.
The 26-page guide, which has been produced in collaboration with other sight loss organisations, includes a variety of low-intensity workouts that can be shared with clients and safely performed in their own home or local outdoor spaces. The exercises have been designed to help individuals develop strength, flexibility, cardiovascular capacity and balance; all of which can improve a person's confidence, mobility and independence. You can read it here.
BBS has produced a range of Education Resources to support sports coaches and organisations working with vision impaired people. Topics covered include swimming, archery and athletics. You can see a full list, and download the documents, here.
