Disability Wales report on implementation of disability rights in Wales published
The 'Civil Society Shadow Welsh Report on the Implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Disabled People (UNCRDP) in Wales' has been published. The review was conducted by Disability Wales.
The report covers three areas: Principles, Equality and Justice, and Independent Living and Equal Access, and makes recommendations in each area. Among many issues, the report highlights the problems that people with sight loss face in voting independently, and a gap between equality rights legislation and services to put them into action.
