EHRC publishes report: ' Accessible public transport for older and disabled people in Wales'
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has published a report exploring how equality for older and disabled people has been factored into decision-making about public transport in Wales.
The report highlights areas of concern that will be familiar to people with sight loss, such as inaccessible information and a lack of disability awareness in staff members, and concludes that 'equality considerations for older and disabled people had not been comprehensively integrated into strategies and policies'. It also makes recommendations for improvement. You can read the report here.
