VocalEyes reports on findings of their 'Museum and Heritage Access Survey 2020'
VocalEyes has published the results of a survey conducted in spring 2020 into access facilities and museum and heritage sites in the UK. Although 82% of respondents felt that access was much or slightly better in general over the past 4 years, there are still many areas needing improvement.
The report says that the top three things a venue can do for access users are provide more access information, more accessible events and increased staff awareness. However, it was pleasing to read positive comments about the National Museum in Cardiff, with one respondent saying 'National Museum Cardiff are an inspiration and are helping us make it possible to take people to enjoy the exhibits'.
