Back to school information from vision impairment organisations
As children return to school after an exceptionally long break, several vision impairment (VI) organisations have help and advice for parents, children and teachers.
RNIB, Guide Dogs and other VI organisations have produced an open letter to the VI education sector in Wales on meeting the needs of children and young people with VI as schools and colleges re-open. It sets out some key issues to consider to ensure that children and young people with VI continue to receive the specialist support they need, as much as possible. You can read it here.
Henshaws e-book, 'Top Tips for a vision friendly accessible classroom' can be downloaded from their website.
Nystagmus Network has a range of free booklets for teachers and parents which can be downloaded from their shop.
