Swansea University report considers use of digital technology by people with sight loss in Wales
Researchers at Swansea University have looked at use of digital technologies by members of RNIB Cymru. They found that although members appreciate the benefits that technology can bring, there are a number of barriers preventing people with sight loss from accessing information, education and services, mainly in the areas of finance and training.
The report makes a range of recommendations, including sustained training and support, and increasing the awareness, and use of free software. You can find out more, and read the full report here.
BBC Wales featured the story of one vision impaired man in a report on the research, which can be read on their website.
