Accessing Public Services Toolkit
Cerebra, the organisation for families where a child has a brain condition, has produced an 'Accessing Public Services Toolkit', which aims to support disabled people and carers, as well as their families and advisers, who are encountering difficulties with the statutory agencies in relation to the provision of health, social care and education support services.
The toolkit will be of use to anyone with a disability, and covers problems that can arise when dealing with public services, such as budget shortfalls, delays and inter-agency dispute, and suggests how to respond. Where procedures differ between Wales and England, these are explained. You can find out more and read the document here.
