New Accessible Information Standard for NHS Wales launched
An updated version of the All Wales Sensory Loss Standards has been launched by Health Secretary Vaughan Gething as part of Sensory Loss Awareness Month.
The new standards will require GP surgeries to keep records of the communication needs of their patients with sensory loss, and provide the tools enabling them to do this. A second phase will require that this information is passed to hospital in case of a referral. You can find out more on the Welsh government website.
