New research makes the case for increased funding in the eye care sector
New Philanthropy Capital (NPC), the organisation which links funders with charities, has released a new report 'In sight: A review of the visual impairment sector'. The report considers the sector in the context of an ageing population, lack of awareness of good eye health, and a shortage of funding for eye research.
Whilst recognising that some good work is already being done, the report makes the case for increased funding for initiatives which can support older people with sight loss, and for medical research into the prevention and cure of conditions leading to sight loss. You can find out more and read the whole report on NPC's website.
