World Retinoblastoma Awareness Week 2022

This year's World Retinoblastoma Awareness Week is 8th-14th May. Retinoblastoma (Rb) or childhood eye cancer has one of the best survival rates of all the childhood cancers. In the UK, around 98% of children will survive but early diagnosis is really important.

The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) is the only UK charity solely dedicated to helping families and individuals affected by retinoblastoma. The CHECT website has a wealth of information for families and health professionals about the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of Rb, and the support that it provides. They also run a helpline, which you can contact on 020 7377 5578 or email support@chect.org.uk.

During the event #RbWeek will be used on Twitter to share information about the condition.
