Eye 2 Eye is looking for more members in Flintshire

Eye 2 Eye is a small, stand-alone registered charity run completely by volunteers that runs a social club for registered visually impaired people living in Flintshire. Like many other groups they have been affected by covid, but are slowly getting back to normal and would love to welcome new members.

The club meets every Wednesday at St Andrews Community Hub in Garden City from 10.30- 1.30. They organise crafts, games, and quizzes for members to take part in, and also arrange visits by guest speakers and entertainers. Hopefully some trips out can be arranged in the future.

There’s always a warm welcome and a cup of tea or coffee, and at lunch time a chippy dinner or one of the many hot cooked meals they have delivered is served. Most members live alone and look forward to the meetings: people who were strangers have now become good friends.

The club tries to provide subsidised door to door transport, as it can be difficult for some to get to the club. If you know someone in the area who is vision impaired, please let them know about Eye 2 Eye, as they rely on friends and relatives to pass on their details. For any more information please ring Pauline Ellis on 01244 810567 or email pauline-ellis@outlook.com.
