Sense 'Virtual Buddy' service for disabled people

Sense runs a free 'Virtual Buddy' service for disabled people of all ages in the UK. The service will match you with someone of a similar age who has common interests, for a weekly chat (via phone, online etc). Volunteer virtual buddies are also needed.

Sense was prompted to set up the service when the pandemic started, and it was realised that many people with disabilities were stuck indoors, unable to meet new people. Don't worry of you don't have the appropriate technology, as Sense can provide the equipment you need.

You can find out more about the service, including a full list of questions, and how to apply, here.

Volunteer Virtual Buddies must be aged 16 years or over, and will be given some training and support. For more detailed information about what is involved, click here.
